Taurine, or 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is an organic acid. It is also a major constituent of bile and can be found in the lower intestine and, in small amounts, in the tissues of many animals, including humans.Taurine is a derivative of the sulfur-containing (sulfhydryl) amino acid cysteine.

Application: Taurine, appearing white crystals or white crystal-line powder, mainly used as bulk drug in Medicine, and in food & feed additives or energy drinks. Taurine is an amino acid. It is also a component of bile acids, needed to absorb fats.It acts as a kind of sulfate amino acid, which is indispensable to the human bodies. Taurine can be also used to cure cold, fever, nerve pains, tonsil inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure and retina inflammation, etc. Taurine is helpful to the infants, especially to the differentiation and growth of nerve cell. Taurine maintains cell membrane stability, regulates heartbeat, and prevents brain cell overactivity. It is needed for the development of the nervous system.
